Hollywood AI Film Festival (HAF) Submission Guidelines
1. Eligibility
- Open to filmmakers worldwide, including the United States and international participants.
- All entrants must hold full copyright of the submitted work or have obtained proper authorization.
- The festival assumes no responsibility for copyright disputes.
- Submission implies permission for the festival to use materials (poster, stills, trailers, etc.) for promotional purposes.
2. Submission Requirements
- Filmmakers may submit an unlimited number of works.
- To enter multiple award categories, each submission must be entered separately and paid for individually.
- Films previously screened at other festivals, online, or on other platforms are still eligible.
- Film duration must be 40 minutes or less.
- Only works completed on or after January 1, 2022, are eligible.
- Minimum video quality: 720p/1080p (4K recommended).
3. Submission Method
- All submissions must be made via the FilmFreeway platform.
- Encrypted streaming links (e.g., private YouTube or Vimeo links) are accepted.
- No physical film copies will be accepted.
4. Awards & Judging
- Each award may be shared by up to three recipients.
- The festival reserves the right to reassign entries to more suitable categories.
- Winners in each category will receive the official HAF Winner Laurel and a digital certificate.
- All official selections will be reviewed privately by the HAF jury and will not be publicly screened.
5. Hollywood AI Showcase Program (Optional)
- To increase public visibility, filmmakers may submit to the "Hollywood AI Showcase" category for potential screening on the HAF YouTube channel and other official platforms.
- Selected films will be authorized for public screening without screening fees.
- Submission to this category implies consent for public screening and permission for the festival to download the file from FilmFreeway.
6. Annual Grand Awards
- Monthly winners are automatically entered into the annual competition for a chance to win the Grand Prize.
7. Judging & Appeals
- All judging decisions are made by the HAF jury and are final.
- No appeals or disputes will be accepted.
8. Withdrawal & Refunds
- Entry fees are non-refundable, even if a submission is withdrawn after submission.
- Please verify all details before submitting.
9. Winner Benefits
- Winners will receive an exclusive HAF Winner Laurel.
- Digital award certificates will be issued.
- Winners will be announced on the official HAF website and social media channels.
10. Disqualified Content
- Entries promoting religious or political extremism.
- Content containing pornography, racism, sexism, offensive or defamatory material, or anything that violates laws or infringes on third-party rights.
- Films with poor production quality (e.g., unclear audio, missing subtitles, resolution under 720p).
